Export Mozilla Address Book to Yahoo

Hiya,

I want to export my address book into Yahoo mail while I'm away from my home computer. I have saved the address book as a CSV file but Yahoo won't accept it giving me an error message that there are too many entries and missing fields from the address book.

Where is the actual mozilla address book stored and what is the file extension?

Is there a way of exporting my Mozilla Address Book to Yahoo?

You could open your .csv file up in excel and edit it to the format Yahoo wants. If there are too many records just split it up into several smaller .csv files. You will need to tweak the field names, as explained on this page

The info at yahoo's site suggests that you're looking for a .ldif file from Netscape/Mozilla which it should be able to import directly.

Hi, Thanks.
Tried both suggestions but neither worked

Have saved it as excel an file so I have all the data on floppy anyway.
Going away for a few weeks and dont have a laptop so I wanted to have all my stuff on yahoo but it doesnt like me.
keeps saying there are about 7 different errors as to why it wont work.
Dont have time to keep playing around now, Im leaving in an hour.
