infected flash drive or computer hard drive?
So my coworkers are having a fight about a possible virus or something that has gotten into people's flash drives and whenever they plug it into a computer, in My Computer, the flash drive shows up as a removable media, but the icon is a folder that does not open when double clicked on and it contains two Autoplay options, both of which do nothing when selected. It works fine on a Mac machine, and when we bring up the files in the flash drive there is an autorun.exe that when deleted, works fine on the Windows machine, but when brought over to another Windows machine, it happens again. The anti-virus software we have does not detect anything, but IMO, it's a piece of crap software. Anyways, does anyone know what is causing this or if the source is either in the flash drive or the computer hard drive?
