Exclamation HELP- Problem Rendering!!!! - computer freezes

Hello everyone,

I am having a problem rendering on my computer.

about 14 to 16 percent into the render process, my computer freezes, as does the render. I cannot get anything to render, no matter what the specifications or formats, because it just ends up freezing.

I am using Vegas 4.0 and windows XP.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Sounds like its a resource problem, tell more about the computer, cpu, ram, harddrive size and how much free space is available on the drive.

I would suggest doubling your ram, In the meantime try turn off everything you can thats running in the background. You can also try deleting all inside your temporary folder (not temporary internet folder)

If it is a new problem, try doing the restore point thing to just prior to the problem.

Also go to your event viewer, (my path may be off since I am not on a windows computer right now) path = control panel, administration tools, event viewer and check out your application and system logs right after the lockup and see what errors you are getting.

winme has the ability to restore your systems registry to a specific date if a restore point has been saved.

To find out more, go to your winme help and type restore point. It will take you step by step or you can go here.
