Switch recommendation for small LAN

I’d like to get a switch or router recommendation for a small LAN.
I have 5 computers running Windows 10 that need to collectively share a few thousand small files amongst themselves. When file transfers occur, usually several hundred files will be sent. Only rarely will a single file be transferred in isolation. The computers are not connected to the internet, so this is purely a local network. I anticipate that transfers will rely on Windows file sharing -- at least to start with; in the future, other means of sharing may be implemented.
As there is no real need to route traffic, I am leaning more toward a switch than a router.
What specific hardware would forum members recommend? I'd like to get some recommendations, rather than simply buy something that seems good.

I agree on an 8 port device, take a look at https://www.amazon.com.au/Gigabit-10.../dp/B01LPTGPD0, price seems reasonable.
