I got a popup that says windows firewall has detected that your windows 8.1 is damaged and irrelevant. as a your system files are automatically deleted. please follow instructions to fix problem immediately that way you ensure that your system is protected.

I just x out not sure what to do .I can't read half of what is behind that message.I do see a button to update.

Is this a hoax, what exactly do I do please. Thank you!

This error is displayed by a malicious website.
