Diverting Line-in to Output of another sound card...

...Now this isn't as easy as you might think. Because it is not simply a case of plugging the line-in jack into a different sound card. Allow me to explain my setup a little more:

I have an ASUS A8N SLi Premium Mobo. Plugged into the soundcard of that I have a set of stereo speakers, and plugged into the line-in jack of that card I have the sound output from my xbox 360 (a standard 3.5mm jack). My monitor has a HDMI slot, so I use that for my xbox, and the sound from the xbox comes out of the speakers perfectly with no lag whatsoever.

In addition to that soundcard I have a USB 5.1 headset, this one to be more precise. I prefer, however, to use the standard USB audio drivers that Windows XP uses for it because the supplied drivers cause a crash if I unplug the headset while the computer is on.

What I want to do is take the input from that line-in jack on the motherboard's sound card and direct it to the output of my USB headset, so I can stop annoying my parents/neighbours and I can have it at a higher volume.

The reason this is a problem is because the headset is a USB headset and although in its volume properties it has a line-in section the only physical connector is its USB plug - there are no other physical connectors on the headset.

Some Googleage has turned up nothing, so either i'm looking for the wrong thing or this isnt possible...

The motherboard soundcard uses the Realtek ALC850 codec, and as far as I am aware I have the latest drivers installed, taken from the ASUS website. Also I am running windows XP Pro.
