Shoot, I just logged on to reply to the Gmer things you saw. The system is definitely root-kitted. Though I still offer to follow up with you here, the choice is all yours. Not real sure how you would reinstall 10, since the free upgrades are over, but in truth, Windows 7 is a very good operating system.
