Help with Networking Problem
I posted saying I have problems with my telephone dialilng an unknown number. The problem is I wanted to network my three pc's to use the printer that is connected to my Vista Home Premium. Okay, the modem that came with the Vista is taking over the phone line. I connect to the internet via a cable (LAN) connection. The pc's that run XP use the same phone line and now are not able dial out on them, only on the Vista machine. I tried uninstalling the modem on the Vista because I send faxes on the other two, not at the same time, but they were able to dial out now I can't. Can someone please tell me how to get the pc running Vista to stop blocking access to my other pc modems. I get a "no dial tone", even on the Vista, but I still can dial out on the phone that is connected. I need to be able to send faxes, and stop the automatic dialing of an unknown number when I pick up the phone. I need all the help I can get.
