Memory stick.
Can anyone please tell me how to format my memory stick?
All I know about it, is that it has AUM on the side. And I got this when trying to find out if it was healthy - - and it is. |

Right click on the drive and you should have a FORMAT option. If not then double click on "My Computer" right click the "H" drive and format.
Appears you maybe running XP, then in Disk Management, which appears you are, go up to Actions and you can format. |

Thank you for your reply.
I have tried both suggestions. These are screen shots of the results. The blooming thing has vanished this time, off the disk management section!!! |

why were you originally trying to format the stick?
go back to your diskmanagement and go to the bottom right window, scroll down, does it show the drive there? If so, just right click it then assign a letter to it and then try formating it again. |

Because the thumbprints and folders were still showing . . even though classed as 'empty' when I clicked on them.
Thank you very much, renegade, I am very grateful - your help has done the trick. Thanks to Murf, too. Another problem now!!! I have just tried to save a picture on the stick. This is what came up. I then saved it the exact same way into my pictures . . . and it saved, no problem. Last edited by Emm; May 19th, 2008 at 01:34 PM. |
