My Laptop Is Messing Up

Hey, my laptop is showing negatives I am pretty sure it is the screen and not the graphics card because it works normal when I plug it into a monitor. Now for the real question, I bought my laptop at best buy on Jan. 6, 2008 does anybody know if it would've came with a 1 year limited manufacture warranty or whatever it is called, and would this warrany apply to my laptop? Also, my laptop is a Gateway M-6750. Thanks in advance for the help.
