Ethernet Problem.

Im tryin to get my router connect to my pc using a ethernet cable. Now im runnin Vista and it wont detect my ethernet controller, ive got a ethernet cable going from the pc's network card to the router. But wont detect and wont work.

Does your ethernet controller show up in the device manager? If so does it have a '!' or '?' next to it?

it is also possible that there might be some Vista compatibility issues, Vist isn't 100% compatible with everything. Just a thought but it might not be hte problem here.

Yeah it does come up with a symbol. Cant remember which tho. Should I wait a couple of month for a service pack to be released?

I'd go to the device manager and open up the properties for the controller and see what vista is saying is wrong.
