Website

Is there a website design and creator that has it so you can either be in
"rich format mode or HTML lauguage mode"
that way I can make some changes in that mode if necessary.

If you don't know what I'm reffering to, Hotmail calls it a "Rich Format Mode" similar idea anyway. Ive been able to use some javascript in Hotmail unlike Gmail.

You would be looking for a WYSIWYG Editor with a Code Edtior aswell.

Dreamweaver is the best about.

Is there something similar to Dream Weaver that is Freeware instead of a 30-day trial?

Never used Dreamweaver, but Open Office is entirely freeware and it is what I used for several years until I became more proficient.
It will give you html 4.0, I am just disappointed that even the latest 2.0 version still gives you 4.0 rather than xhtml 1.0 trans, but once you get used to it (it has its little quirks, like all such systems), I find it pretty good.
Of course, it depends what you want: I am a writer and I write around 150 articles per year which go straight onto the 'net' - for me its been perfect, although nowadays I often don't use it so much.

Oh yeah that reminds me I do have OpenOffice.org that was purchased about 2 years ago. came with PC-cillin. Seems like that takes lots of system resources. I remember using Dream Weaver when I was at computer camp. Thanks for your help guys!

Open Office does have Writer which can save documents in html file format but it doesn't have an html editor in the package.

OpenOffice is free open source software. If you paid for it, someone's ripping you off.
