Editting Titles

Every once in awhile I'll botch up a title to my post and when I try to edit it, it doesn't alter the title but, only after you've clicked into the thread. Is there anyways to fix this problem? Or is it set this way for a purpose? Thanks.

I believe the reasoning for disabling editing the title is to keep people from changing their relevant topic name like "Cd drive makes yetti sound" to "fixed" which helps nobody searching the forums.

Hi,

When you click on the "Topic Tools" menu on a topic you have made do you see "Edit Topic" ? That is a genuine question as I don't know if you do or not.

If you choose that you should be able to change the title.

Topics have 2 titles which is confusing. The main one, and then the bold one you see when reading the thread.

Just to clarify Vercades, but you are checking that on topics that you have created ? and not topics that you have just replied to.

Having just spent some time trying to do this in a normal user account I can say that I don't think it's possible. Sorry.
