Programs Not Installing

I have a problem with 2 programs....SYNCIOS and Vistaprint Photobooks UK that will not install. This only started this morning and came after I installed and uninstalled a program called ios-transfer (http://www.fonepaw.com/downloads/ios-transfer.exe) which I though was free but was in fact a trial version.

If I click the install shortcut I get the circle saying Windows is doing something but then nothing.

I have run the Windows Fixit routine and that found corrupt registry entries which it fixed but still no joy.

I am assuming it's probably the Windows Installer that's the issue rather than a registry problem.

Any help on fixing would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try this:

Start then type CMD in the search programs and files dialog box

Right click cmd.exe and then click Run as Administrator

Type the following then hit enter

net start MSIserver

Restart the installation process for the program you want to install

Thanks for the reply. I tried what you suggested and it took me to the DOS command so not sure what I did wrong.

Afterwards I tried a couple of other things and then tried to install a couple of programs I had installed before and these worked so I Am wondering if it just the 2 programs I mentioned that are the problem and nothing more.

If other programs install OK, then the installer is fine has to be the two programs.

I installed and uninstalled a program called ios-transfer maybe not completely uninstalled and interfering.

Try this program it will uninstall anything and it is free:
