Unhappy bookmarks

Lights went out and when I rebooted my favorites were gone from across top of page. I think other stuff is missing too. I have to click icon that says show bookmarks and it pops up on left of my screen and stays there. I preferred to click at top of page and it drops down and goes away after i pick my bookmark.

I have vista and use firefox thanks

try a system restore to a restore point that was created prior to the outage.

In Firefox, press one of the Alt keys on the keyboard.

That will display the Menu bar. Click on View and in the menu that opens, point at View. In the menu that opens, click on Menu Bar. See if that solves the problem.

I recommend buying a good UPS (uninterruptible power supply). It's the cheapest computer insurance you can get.

Unlike a surge supressor, a UPS will provide battery power at least long enough to allow you to shut the computer down properly. They also greatly reduce the power fluctuations too small to notice but which have an impact on the life of electronic equipment.

I've used APC and CyberPower and have no complaints about either brand.
