microsoft genuine software
I had a copy of Office 2007 on my computer. Started receiving a notice the software was not authentic, and would stop working in 7 days. I obtained a new copy with a COA, removed the original copy, and installed the new copy. The microsoft countdown continued, and when it timed out, the new software was affected.
I have renoved the software with the COA. I want to know if the timer has to time out prior to installing a replacement copy? Or is there a macro running somewhere, which I need to remove? I want to install the newer copy as soon as possible, I need it for school |

Thanks for your responce.....
When I obtained the replacement copy, I removed the original copy through the "add and remove program" process. Accordingly, it indicated that the original copy had been successfully removed.. When I installed the replacement copy, it asked for the COA, and when I finished the installation process , I was not asked to activate or register the new copy. I was woundering, if the timer for the original copy needed to time out, before I install the replacement copy ?? |

if the new install is not activated, time will run out.
Where did you get your new copy of office 2007. Do you have the original cd? to see if its been activated 1. Click the Microsoft Office Button Button image, and then click Word Options. 2. Click Resources, and then click Activate. 3. If your software is activated, you receive the following confirmation message: This product has already been activated. If your software is not activated, the Activation Wizard should start. Follow the instructions in the Activation Wizard. |

Hello,
Again thanks for responding.... Here is what I did today.. 1. I disconnected my computer from the net 2. I uninstalled the latest copy of Office 2007 3. I ran utilities on my computer (defrag, cleanup etc) 4. I installed the replacement copy of office 2007. 5. It accepted the COA as authentic 6. Told install was successful. 7. when it asked to contact microsoft, I denied 8. I opened the installed office 2007 9. It immediately said, "Not a genuine copy" 10. I opened word, went to options, selected activate now...It said it is "already activated" So, with no input from microsoft, it is not a genuine copy. Again I think there is a microsoft malware installed. Do not know how to overcome.... Ant thoughts?? |
