Hardcopy newspaper, namely, The New York Times. Regular delivery subscriber. Costs about $1k per year and worth every penny even though it is over the top at times.

Interesting to see a post related to the New York Times.

For so many years I subscribed to a weekly review type of hardcopy here in Japan published by the New York Times, but then they did go way "over the top" and I abruptly stopped the subscription.

I haven't had a hardcopy subscription since, but I do pick up hardcopy papers from time-to-time in either English or Japanese.

BUT, I am thinking very seriously of checking what sort of subscription contracts are possible with India's Network 18. I've become quite impressed with, for example, their Vantage Firstpost. And I think I have the "Vantage" as being the boss of 'FirstPost' correct.

Still, the thing is they really do cover news in an international manner better than any other media entity, these days.

Let's take the latest streamed and the coverage of the horrible trouble in the Sudan, and those poor 16,000 head of livestock stuck on a ship in Australia. I haven't seen another media entity that covers such a range of news stories.

By the way, are you folks in Australia going to eat the steaks or mutton that might end up at your grocery store if all those animals are offloaded back into your country?
