Hello. What's the best thing to make a boot disk or boot USB drive of to check my hard drive these days?
Please don't say UBCD or have Windows restart to CHKDSK. Thanks EDIT: Bootable prefferred but would settle for a good one that's not. Last edited by mattpg1; July 30th, 2022 at 07:31 AM. |

hard drive (not ssd) manufacturers have tools to create boot disks for checking hard drives. You should be able to download from there. Also seatools for dos is a good general one.

Hirens boot disk.. Or most Linux live distros have disk check function.
