Clone Server 2008 disk to different hardware?
Hello CTH peoples! Long time no see. Hoping you can help me with something.
I am in charge of a project that involves moving a secondary domain controller from one physical machine to another of different hardware. Don't ask why, long story. Anyways, if this were an older version of Windows, I would expect to be able to clone it to the new system's disk and then perform a repair install of the OS to fix driver issues. I don't think it can be done this way in Server 2008. So.. what can I do, short of setting up the new machine from scratch? |
