Ads Wrecking Online Game

Back months ago, someone posted a great and fun golf game played online, and I enjoyed the sap out of it. Well, it wasn't long til it disappeared. I can't think of the name of it, but it was based on a real golf club in England.

Well, after a lot of searching, I found another "big golf" type game played similiar to that, only much harder, but still fun. It's on freeonlinegames.com. Well, now, when I go to the site to play it, there's this ad for GMC trucks that runs a video, and even after the video ends, the audio from that ad plays over and over and over, until you either leave out of disgust from hearing it, or finish the game with the audio turned off. I like to hear the golf sounds and this sound bite of an announcer saying "Great birdie" and other stuff, when you do good at it. There were already so many ads flooding that site, that it would actually make the game action slow down and my pointer blink off and on! Eating up bandwidth I guess.

These so-called "free" online games come with a price tag of irritation! I guess I've played that one my last time until I can maybe find another "big course" type online golf game. Ads are literally taking over and wrecking those types of sites. If anyone knows of another golf game like that, minus a flood of ads, I'd sure appreciate knowing the URL.

Thanks-

t.

Is this same as Golf Q you posted here?
Probs with suggestions?
Get what you pay for. Pay nothing, get a lot of nothing. Ads included at no extra charge.
(This does not apply to all the free things I have on my system)
Have a good one.

Thanks, Nick! I've become addicted to playing online golf, and haven't found an antidote yet.

Addiction to anything that interferes with normal life is a problem.
If this causes no problems, except for random thoughts of throwing real golf clubs in the drink, GIT-R-DONE!!! This does not apply to throwing your computer in a river.

Real game I shoot in the low 70's...................for the first hole. The rest take a few more.
Tell that sweat thing to folks who play in 90+F all summer here.
If I had not heard it from my brother's wife's lips, I wouldn't have believed it.
They live in BUDLAND, I mean St. Louis. Their summers are as hot as here but cooler weather lasts a lot longer. Anywho, for his birthday, his two grown sons (with kids of their own now) gave him a heated contraption that covers his golf cart. I wondered why it did not have air conditioning also.
You can't make this stuff up. Never would have thunk it!!
Lot of money in golfing equipment probably most of it gets broke, bent, thrown in the woods or ponds.
Anyone hear of the millionaire that started diving for golf balls and now has machines to snag them in huge quantities? They are sorted by make, condition, etc., and sold off at various prices. He may find a few of Tiger Wood's balls in the drink but not many, I'm sure.

LOL

But I'd sweat standing still in your climate Nick!

Got presented with a big bag of lake balls at our last works competition. The trophy was rather kindly called "Most golf played today". (20 points Stableford - arrrrgggggghhhhhhhh)

Went out the following day and played to 5 below my handicap - such is life.
