Red face Hard Drive Diagnostics
Hello. What's the best thing to make a boot disk or boot USB drive of to check my hard drive these days?

Please don't say UBCD or have Windows restart to CHKDSK.

EDIT: Bootable prefferred but would settle for a good one that's not.

hard drive (not ssd) manufacturers have tools to create boot disks for checking hard drives. You should be able to download from there. Also seatools for dos is a good general one.

Hirens boot disk.. Or most Linux live distros have disk check function.
