USB Ports Inoperative Code 10 error in Vista Home Premium
Hello, I have been having some trouble with my Vista equipped Acer desktop, lately and I was wondering if anyone can help.
The problem is Vista is now telling me that my usb ports on the front of my Acer tower are code 10 error. nothing reads in them at all, no flash drives, no cameras, nothing. I tried to use the self repairing feature when Vista offers to contact Microsoft to obtain a fix, but, even that doesn't help!!! Does anyone have any advice or suggestions that they could offer me!?!?! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!! timkedz |

Yes, the problem is still there.
I tried to go into device manager and disable the USB drivers and reboot, but, as soon as I remove just one thing from device manager, windows immediately starts to reinstall the removed drivers and locks me out of doing anything until it is finished! Very frustrating to say the least!!! timkedz |

Lets see what is installed for USB:
In Device Manager, under USB, can you post what is listed? Did this start after installation of VISTA? Or just started suddenly? |
