Windows Update In Vista Keep Failing!!!
IM RUNNING WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE. WINDOWS DOWNLOADS AND INSTALLS THE UPDATES THEN NEEDS TO BE RESTARTED, WHEN RESTARTED ON THE LOGON SCREEN IT SAYS "CONFIGURING UPDATES" THEN RESTARTS AGAIN AFTER THAT IT SAYS "CONFIGURING UPDATES" AT THE LOGON SCREEN BUT THIS TIME IT ALLOWS ME TO LOGIN THEN AFTER A WHILE IT SAYS THERE ARE NEW UPDATES TO DOWNLOAD...THE ONES WHICH I DOWNLOADED PREVIOUSLY. AFTER CHECKING MY UPDATE HISTORY IT SAYS THAT THE UPDATES HAD FAILED. I CANT SEEM TO FIGURE OUT WHATS GOING ON ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED AS THERES NOTHING ON MICROSOFT WEB SITE THAT HELPS. Ok, Update for Windows Vista (KB935509) is causing the problem. The others are failing because this update has not installed. Try installing it manually. You can download it from here.

thnx that works the other updates installed successfully and i downloaded it manually and it installed aswell but it still wants to install the same update from windows update and when it does it fails then aswell but ive hidden it now so it wont come up nomore
