95 installation

I have a computer that had to be formatted.Im trying to install windows 95.When it ask for 95 cd is says starting windows and the windows screen comes up but wont go any farther.Help

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum.
I have to admit I'm not able to tell from your post exactly how far you have got.

Please confirm...
You have formatted the Hard Drive
You have re-booted and run Windows Setup from the Windows CD
Setup has restarted the PC.
On the first boot-up, after running setup, the system will not boot past the Windows Flag "splash" screen.

If this is the case, it is normally a symptom of a corrupt install or faulty hardware.

Restart the PC and as soon as you see the message "starting Windows 95" (before the splash screen) press the F8 key and try to boot it in safe mode.

Can you give us some specifications of the machine and a bit more of a history of the problem?
