Midi input/output help for Vista/Dell 1501
I just bought a new dell 1501 laptop with windows vista basic,up from a compaq 5152 that had windows xp put on it.My problem is I want to use this for recording my band, using Sonar/Cakewalk recording software, this program ran fan on the compaq, but the pc itself was too slow, and caused lags in sound recording. When i ran the program on the new laptop,it ran fine, but I cant get any midi in/out,and therefore cant record. It also wont get voice in chatrooms, such as yahoo, but i do have sound when i play music.Any help?

Welcome
Take a look at the device manager are the new problem report section. Most probably the drivers for the midi and other sound devices are not installed. If there are no vista drivers available then you could try the windows xp drivers, otherwise you may have to install XP. |
