I am new to this place and just noticed this message. For the past few days, I am having this same problem. I am using WinME and this message pops even while booting pc. After reading the messages here, I have come to the conclusion it is a Trojan virus. So, can someone suggest me how do I get rid of it. I have came across terms such as HijackThis and Killbox. I am a bit reluctant to download those since I have no info about it. Can someone give me some detail on those. Can I just delete that file (atiupdpl.exe) without having to scan it ? Thanks.

Welcome to CTH Seablues. I have split your topic out of cinnamongirl's thread. Hijack This is a diagnostic utility used by experts to find problems on a PC. Killbox is a utility that will delete hard to remove files or files that windows cannot see. A search of this site and/or a search of the Internet using Google will give you any additional information that you need.

Sure but it will probably come back. You will also have to remove the associated registry entries first. If you decide to post a log, just click on post reply in this thread. I am afraid I do not have the time or the inclination to walk you through a registry edit etc.
