"fatal exception" when using wlan on usb

On a Compaq Deskpro (pentium III) with Win98se I'm using a wlan (Sweex) IEEE802.11G & usb2.0 to connect to internet.
When the wlan is not plugged-in my comp is running smoothly.
When the wlan is connected I'm receiving the following errors:
0E on 0028:000000FB
0D on 0246:015F47FB
Can anyone help me?

Cool

This probably needs to be posted in the hardware or networking section so somebody with some knowledge about that connection could help you.

You can see if this site can help you.

Is THIS the adaptor you have? Have you tried the latest driver for the adaptor?

What else do you have plugged into USB ports?
Have you checked the device manager for any devices with a "?" or "!" ?
Have you checked for driver updates for the USB controller?

Wink usb ports

Hi Z1P,
Thanks for your advices. They put me on the right trail.
My usb ports were shared by some other, not in use anymore, adapters.
After disabling these adapters the problem has disappeared.
An amateur gets helpless where the expert smiles.
Thanks a lot for your kind help.
