Stack Overflow
On rare occasions, I am unable to boot completely into Win 98 due to an error message that refers to a "stack overflow" with advice that I might need to adjust my system.ini. So far, this is only a minor nuisance since it happens so rarely. When I power down and then up again, the message does not appear. Other than piling too many pancakes on one plate, I know nothing of a "stack overflow." Can someone tell me something about this matter? Thanks.

Go start > Run [type in] system.ini > OK If you don't see an entry, just add the line: MinSPs=9 at the bottom of the [386Enh] section If you still get the error, increase the value by 4 More info here: http://support.microsoft.com/support.../Q149/0/83.asp Read the link. They explain it better than I can. |
