Windows freezes on a chkdsk screen when booting
Instead of booting to the desktop, a blue screen with white words appears. A whole list of words appear that will say "file record segment 61159 is unreadable" or "deleting orphan file record segment." It also says that its a certain percentage complete, like 31% complete, but the process never completes. Please Help.

Have you tried safe mode restart and tap f8 repeatably
If you can get to the screen try last known good configuration that worked and restart Last edited by black mirror; November 13th, 2006 at 12:43 PM.
