need proxy for windows

hi,

I need a proxy for windows network......i cant risk with the ICS ...pls help with some downloable free proxy...i have used winproxy ..... but it is evaluation...


so sujjest some things

Try Proxy+

I haven't tried this software, having only used winproxy. I'd be interested to see how you find this if you do give it a go

thanks for the reply...ill check it tomorrow morning and tell u back the results since its already mid night..any way to remind in my network i have 3 groups for which i have to specify time restrictions to the internet access...

pls also tell me how it would it be if i migrated to linux+squid proxy for the internet sharing alone...

What internet connection do you have ?

Squid is excellent for web caching. It can reduce bandwidth consumption because of this.

How many PCs do you have in your network ? Business or residential network ?

hi ,

i want to use the proxy in my office...i am the administrator there...i have a DSL connection.i have 3 groups each consisting of 15 users.i have to give them net connection only on prescribed timings...

this is the scenario...


sorry for the late reply...and how ever tell me if i can use squid on windows..
