Nice 'heads up' there Digerati. I'll see if there are any tangible benefits.

And did it make any difference? Note that if your mobo maker put out a new BIOS update with new code, you don't need the update.

Not that I've immediately noticed Digerati. Getting the same or virtually the same in benchmarking programmes.

Having said that, I'm not getting the well documented Vista slow file copy/move up to now. Unsure whether it's to do with Windows Updates or tweaking a few Services.

Maybe the best move I've made in the last week was getting rid of the OEM install and getting the Retail version.

Well, it was not meant to improve benchmarks - but it was meant to improve reliability issues.
