Helpful online scans and/or free Downloads?

Hey there, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good online scans for viruses or spyware, anything of that sort. Or any good free downloads, I think ive used up trails on a few things, so those may be out of the picture.

My computer runs so slow, and everything takes forever to load. I dont know if it matters, but I downloaded a "free up RAM" program, and its telling me 66% of my RAM is free if this indicates anything. Thanks!!

Welcome.

In my opinion, Ewido and Trend are the best online malware scans, and Ccleaner is an excellent hard drive / Internet Explorer cleaner. See my below links.

Ccleaner also has a startup utility. Go into this startup utility, and delete all the entries except for your security software. This will disable needles programs from starting when your computer does. It does not delete the program, and the changes can be reversed if needed. In the average computer, disabling needless startup programs has a significant impact on system stability and speed.

When i click "I accept" on the trend scan, it gives me a popup error "Unexpected problem has been encountered: Error #: 0x8007007f". I tried again, same thing, using IE.
