troubles joining HomeGroup

I have created a HomeGroup on a Win7 Home premium computer and am trying to join a Win7 Home Basic to that HomeGroup. Both computers have different names, both have all access as far as file and printer sharing, etc., I have set up and am using a password. The network diagnostics is unable to find anything amiss, BUT I must be missing something. Can anyone offer any help?

Do the "Basic" have the same Homegroup name?

In Windows 7 Basic you cannot create a Homegroup, but you can join one.
