Trying to reinstal win 7
I thought if I reinstal win7 then the disk would be wiped and a clean start would then work,bu tit was rejected as "not enough space on disk to do it" Wouldn't the disk be wiped clean for a fresh instal as it's the only way I can create any space.

You have to delete the partition, format for the clean install. Which is an option during the installation.

If I remember correctly when you install Windows 7 you have to choose Custom installation if you want to format, and start clean.

Your confused, you cannot delete and format a partition that is in use in disk management.
When you install Windows 7 from the DVD, as said you chose custom install, then you have the option of deleting the partition and formatting it. Step-by-Step http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic...of-windows-7-8 |
