Video Card Dilemma (buying which brand??)

Im just about settled the graphics card i want to buy , and have chosen the X1650 GDDR3 256mb which has the company HIS as its 'decorater' but my friend keeps saying that it will fail in 6months max. and then he tells me to get the Asus version which is nearly double the price, of the HIS one

so what will happen if i get the HIS one? will it fail in 6months??

If we were talking about PSU's then definitely the better brand would be the one to go for. I don't think that because HIS isn't as top end brand as Asus, The card would fail in the short term, nor the long term. It may run abit hotter (cheaper or less efficient cooling) and not be as stable to overclock (due to cooling methods) but other than that it is still the same X1650 GPU.

video cards should have 1 year warranty so if it fails, they should replace it for free
