Hi Mrs
Thanks for the fast reply.
Sorry that the problem wasn't easily solved, but I hope you enjoy your new computer, and that you don't have the same problem.
What computer did you buy?

Thank you, I'm sure I will enjoy it. I bought an HP Envy 750-410, and I love it because there's two things I've found that I enjoy working with now, that I had to add onto the old computer to achieve. One is that it comes with two hard drives (256 GB solid state and 1 TB of the usual type of hard drive). I liked having two hard drives before, one was used just for storage, but I had to install that extra hard drive in the old computer, and thought I would have to with a new one, until I found this. Windows 10 and all the software comes loaded on the SSD, which I understand will make things run faster, which I really need. This old computer is slow as molasses! I have not had a solid state drive before, and from what I hear, I will enjoy it.

The other thing is that it comes out of the box ready for two monitor hookups. I use a dual monitor now on the old computer, but had to install a card to enable me to do that. It will be nice to have the two features I really liked about this old computer, right out of the box (two hard drives, two monitor hookups). I didn't like the thought of having to add hardware to a brand new computer right away, as I'm sure that would void any warranty.

Eight GB of memory expandable to 16, 5 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, Intel Core i5 2.70 GHz processor, DVD drive, Bluetooth, Wifi. My old computer doesn't have Wifi capability, it's that old. And I found this computer somewhere at a price about $250 less than what Amazon sells it for -- which both surprised and delighted me! I think I found a really good buy.

Just Googled it, and saw it on Amazon, nice looking case. Things happen for a reason, maybe it was just the right time to do something nice for yourself. So what if you spent the food budget for a month.

That's right, I've been meaning to go on a diet anyway.

Thanks, IPR!

Don't know where you're located, but if you live near a Dairy Queen get yourself a huge banana split that should hold you for a day. The hell with hubby and the kids.

Oooh yes, I like the way you think! I have enjoyed many a trip to a Dairy Queen last summer (Massachusetts), and they must be opening up again by now. Hmmm...

Of course she needs it, and she probably also needs a vacation from you.

Mrs Lufbra's new PC seems to be doing very well. No funny/annoying noises when it's turned on, and no more browser freezes...............yet!!!
