Invalid code in reinstalling windows XP
Recently I uninstalled windows XP via the remove programs facility without backing up as there was nothing of importance to save, now when I try to reinstall windows XP and when prompted to enter the 24 digit ID code it continueously says its an invalid code even though its not,what have I done wrong, thanks.

Thanks ANNMARIE, funnily enough when I installed XP the first time I think a similar thing happened IE an invalid code but I can't remember how I got around it.

I think its probably best if I format my hard drive, Im now using Windows ME and start from scratch again, can you point me in direction of dumbed down guide to that procedure, thanks.
