Boot Up trouble

Hi, I keep getting a message every time I boot up my tab4 samsung tablet.
It says android is upgrading 1 of 1 update. How do I stop this?

Thankyou
Pat

Hi Pat,

I have been Google checking your issue, but never seem to hit the right scenario or fix. My experience with tablets almost always leads to them having to be hard reset to correct though.

Thankyou but I can't do that, I have to many things in my tablet. I would lose everything.

I'm not familiar with Android tablets, or phones, but isn't there someway you can connect your tablet to your computer so that you can move stuff off the tablet to save it on your computer? What will you do if your tablet dies before you can save everything that is on there?

In settings select:

"Reset all settings to their defaults." After that was complete, the update should install.

did you try a soft reset? It will not affect your data. do it with the power on.

Press and hold the Power key and Volume down key at the same time for up to 45 seconds.
The device will restart to complete this reset.

you can go to the following site for more specialized help.
