Deleting a user account
After reading this tutorial, I followed the instructions and surprisingly a new user account was created as ADMINISTRATOR. How do I now delete this account?

while logged in as admin on your account go to control panel, and find USER accounts, while in there you can delete the other account.

Thanks! But it says being Administrator you can't delete your own account!

The Administrator account has been there all along. It's necessary for XP to run and if you ever need it, nothing else will do.
The main Administrator account has control over all software, regardless in which user account it's located. It comes in handy if, for example, your usual account becomes corrupted and won't load. It's accessible only in Safe Mode in XP Home; pressing Ctrl/Alt/Del twice at the welcome screen will display the Administrator logon in XP Pro. Just leave it be...and hope you never need it. ![]() |

Ok! Let me hope that simply leaving it doesn't create any problem. Thanks!
