High cpu usage?

Hi guys and gals,

Have been posting at the first time here.

My system shows a super high CPU Usage which is making it sluggish. It has also started to stuck a lot, for example when I open Google Chrome or when i am shutting it down.

I'm not expert so please don't through rocks on me.

Hi davee,

Well, you say your system is sluggish but you told us nothing about your system.

Custom built or store bought?
If custom, which motherboard, how much RAM, which CPU, what graphics and drive(s)?
If store bought, what brand and model?
We don't even know if a notebook or PC.

Have you scanned for malware? Have you cleaned out the clutter with Windows Disk Cleanup or CCleaner? Is the OS current?

How much free disk space is available?

Same here but my problem only happens when I turn on the security cameras then the cpu hits 100 quick so I don't have enough memory I guess to run them and regular internet.

How long does the CPU stay at 100%? Maybe the CPU is overheating and throttling its speeds down to compensate. Clean the dust out of the fans.

"The causes of high CPU usage are wide-ranging—and in some cases, surprising. Slower processing speeds could easily be the result of either the antivirus program you are running or a virus that the software was designed to stop"
