A friend of mine gave me a program to load and I have to go into the "windows\system32\drivers\etc folder and add something to the"Hosts" file I have changed ownership and set up full control ... I already am administrator... but can't make the change.. says "access denied" at this point don't know what to do to make the change... thanks Barbara |

Don't know why your messing with the "Host File" as you cannot modify the Host file trying it the way your doing.
Start>All Programs>Accessories> Right Click Notepad> Click run as Administrator Open the Host file make changes then go to File Save |

Also check to make sure that the "R"ead-only attribute on that file is removed. The cmd to remove it would be:
attrib -r c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts |
