Run commands not working

I want to run sfc /scannow and chkdsk but when i typed the commands into run the windows pops up for a second then goes carnt seem to get the scasn running, anyone know how?

Hi #ELMO#. It's probably a permissions issue. Try running the commands from an elevated command prompt. To do this, click on the Start button and type cmd.exe in the Start Search box. Rightclick on it and choose "Run as Administrator". Did this work for you?

disable UAC for a while. Its in control panel

Nice, that work annemarie, no need to turn it off Sheldondsouza, theres always away around the UAC
