PC Wont Boot Unless USB Leads Are Disconnected.

Just recently started to have this problem.

My unit won't boot into Windows 7 unless I remove the USB cables from the back of the unit.

Also when I plug other USB devices into the front ports the mouse freezes and I have to manually turn off and back on again.

I suspect it is the USB drivers.

If I'm right can you remind me what to and how to delete the drivers for a re-boot re-install.

Thanks.

Right click on "My Computer" then to "Properties" left pane click on "Device Manager"

Scroll down to USB Controllers, here you will find all your USB controllers, any have a yellow/red mark means they are not installed.

You should see two entries for each USB connection;

USB Hub
USB Controller

If you want to uninstall then right click on each entry and uninstall

Reboot Windows will rebuild them

Thanks.

Should I uninstall both the Hub and the Controller?
