Check Disk
I don't know if this forum is where I would ask this question but here goes. You know when you back click on Computer and you get the menu, at the bottom it has properties and if you click on that you get the menu that will list tools. You can perform check on schedule a Check disk and restart. Well mine will not perform the procedure. In just comes up with the info. that list my file type but under that it states it can not open the volume and then states its finished and the operating system starts up as normal. The last time I even checked check drive for errors and repair bad sectors but had the same problem. I haven't turned off any services and I run the free edition of AVG, I don't know?

Hi TheSavageBeast. It might help if I can see some logs of what is running on your computer. Go here and download DDS to your Desktop and doubleclick on DDS.scr to run it. When the scan has finished, two logs will open. Copy and paste both reports in this topic. The logs will be reasonably large so you may have to divide them into sections and make several posts to post them.
