Question Admin of files

I am using a Netbook Acer Aspire One with Windows 7 Ultimate
A friend of mine gave me a program to load and I have to go into the
"windows\system32\drivers\etc folder and add something to the"Hosts" file
I have changed ownership and set up full control ... I already am administrator... but can't make the change.. says "access denied" at this point don't know what to do to make the change...

thanks
Barbara

Don't know why your messing with the "Host File" as you cannot modify the Host file trying it the way your doing.

Start>All Programs>Accessories> Right Click Notepad> Click run as Administrator

Open the Host file make changes then go to File Save

Also check to make sure that the "R"ead-only attribute on that file is removed. The cmd to remove it would be:
attrib -r c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
