Hi Sinister-wolf, I tried your tweaks and yes, I think Firefox is faster. Thanks for that.

np, anything to make the internet faster, and easier to use,..

i however still have to get myself a full list of maybe 300+ links of sites for anything from PC help (CTH is already at the top of the list), to imaging, to website development..

I want to try to make the most comprehensive outsource links site along with a personal blog, that would be popular for everyone to bookmark and use if they need a certain link.

if anyone has any they'd like to submit that they feel would be useful, either PM me, post them somewhere on this site, or email me at wolfisin (at) gmail dot com.

site is not available yet as its still offline until its finished. (the design half).

Thumbs up Now I like using LINUX

Degsy,

Thanks for the info. I use Mozilla and man did makes it run like IE. It's much faster after this tweak. Now I don't have an excuse to not use LINUX. This is what was really stopping me from using it. I was jsut getting sick of it taking forever to load pages. You're a life saver because I really want to try my best at getting away from Windows. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Cool

I would like to take advantage of some of these tweaks but I am having a problem.
I have no about:config. I think it is an extension, right, I have to download this first? I dont't want to do anything without checking with CTH.

capt K, you might be a lucky bug. I did just what you said and what others said. But, nothing happened. So I tried again and the page appeared. -PO- Thank You for the reply.

Setting, config.use_system_prefs.accessibility to "true", puts tweak network settings into tools for easy access.

Keith, I got an error page when I clicked on your tweak link.

I did the Tweaks from this site:

I also followed this:

My question is, I didn't have these entries:
Quote:
Common to all configurations
user_pref("ui.submenuDelay", 0);

Fast Computer Fast Connection

user_pref("content.interrupt.parsing", true);
user_pref("content.max.tokenizing.time", 2250000);
user_pref("content.notify.interval", 750000);
user_pref("content.notify.ontimer", true);
user_pref("content.switch.threshold", 750000);
Should I add them in as I did with the one from Harpreet?
