Web page Help
I am trying to get a local network webpage on the internet , It works great on the Internal private network .
I have a Linksys router with a Static IP , I have Enabled DMZ pointed to the local IP where the web page is located and forwarded port 80 to that local IP also , but when I try to connect to my Public IP over the internet in the browser I see it resolving to the local internal IP but the page wont come up . What am I missing ? Thank you David |

Sounds like a firewall or something on the server. What web server are you running too?

Yes I can ping it , when I put the external address in the browser it resolves to the the internal IP and page name but it wont open , I works great internally .

Is it possible this is being blocked by your ISP unless you have business class service and are allowed to run a server?

It could be the ISP blocking outgoing communication on port80
can you try a different port temporarily? Call the ISP and ask if they allow you to run a web server |
