microsoft office vulnerability warning

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have recently run 'housecall online scan' it found some stuff and sorted it.
It also said there was a danger with microsoft office and exel, I cant rember the details there were about four warnings.
It,s an old version can look it up if I have to.
Now here,s the bit that might be relevent: for a long time (over a year) I have the sign 'new update available for your computer'
I have tried many times to download it but it never seems to work.
From memory the download was something to do with microsoft office.
I am not on the computer in question at the moment so the info is from memory. My memory is not too clever! Thanks for any help.
