Laptop problem

hi i have been given a dell laptop windows 7 ultra core 2. I cant find messenger anywhere in it. i went to play store to download it but it keeps saying its installed. ive checked everything its not there. Can i download the old version of messenger? If so what version would i use? I have Face Book installed and when I got there and open it the screen is huge I cant see anything on the sides of the page. How do I make it smaller? Please help?

Thankyou

Windows Live Messenger is part of the Windows Live Essentials package, however, it is no longer available. You can download it here:

For Facebook Messenger:

Older versions.

See if you can find it on your PC:

Try changing or adjusting the Screen Resolution.

If you have NVIDA Driver and Utilities installed.
Open up the NVIDA Control Panel.{Should be in or on the Task Bar.}
Once you open it.
Look at the left side of the screen.
Find under Tasks: Change Resolution
Click on it.

You'll now have a screen that shows all different settings that it recommends.

You can try the different resolution settings until you can find one that works for you.

Good luck with it.
