cant delete microsoft edge

how can you delete microsoft edge in installed programs ? ive tried. also in the apps but its grayed out so you cant do anything. any suggestions? they say it cant be deleted

See if the instructions on Tom's Guide work for you.
Don't skip the last step that keeps Edge from reinstalling with the next Windows update.
If that doesn't work, search for "uninstall Edge from Windows 10" using the search engine of your choice. That's how I found the above instructions.

Already checked Tom's guide. Said if that didnt work and the areas were shaded theres nothing I can do

Is Microsoft Edge built into the OS like Internet explorer is??

Like im on Win98se and I dont have a direct way for me to access IE,if I open any folder and type a URL,the folder changes to IE6.. (But usually I use MyIE2 which is nicer)

What im wondering is: IF you know the filename is it possible to goto the file,right click and delete it? (Then you might only be able to get it thru any folder like I do for IE)

Then scroll on down the Tom's guide page and try the steps for the second option.

If that works, go back to Tom's guide page, scroll down and complete the steps for the third stage.
